Notes:
The campsites are packed into what is essentially 1 large group site. There is no privacy. There's also no electricity. I recommend a cheap motel for future birding trips to the valley.
The park is a little over 5 hrs from Austin, so the drive really deserves a trip with thee nights and two full days without travel--similar to a trip out to the Pecos is best with an arrival Thursday night and departure Sunday morning.
